I was looking online for any videos about router table plans, and happened to come across this puzzle video. It seems real neat, so I think that I may have to take a break from my current coffee table project in order to give this a shot. It doesn’t look to complicated – it just takes one small cube of wood. I was impressed with the whole idea at the beginning of the video, but seemed to get a good grasp of it as I went through the project with the video maker.
It seems to be a pretty basic concept – you take a press and make holes in each side of the cube deep enough to cut out a box on the inside, but not so deep that the box becomes so small that you can get it out of the holes. I think with a little bit of practice that you shouldn’t have much trouble at all with this. I wish that I had come across it a little bit sooner, because I would have love to made this for my grandkids for Christmas. I suppose I can always get working on them now for everyone’s birthdays!
